Loading Projects Into OST

To load projects into OST, from the details page of the project click the tool "Get Project Docs OST". A window may appear asking if you want to open or save the file, select "open". Upon doing so the OST program should open and load the project you've requested directly. The most common reasons for the project failing to load are listed below.

º Incompatible Project Name / Estimator Criteria
If OST opens to the "Bids" tab in the upper left corner and there are projects listed on that tab, but not the project you've requested, be sure that the "Project Name" box is blank and "Estimator" box is set to "All Estimators". These boxes are located just below the "Bids" tab.

º There is no Database created
OST requires a database in which to store projects. If OST opens and displays a single "Bids" tab in the upper left corner and there are no projects listed on that tab, and it does not say "Projects" or "Deleted Bids" in the main area, you need to create a database. To do this, in the upper left corner click "File" > "New" > "Database". This will open the New Database Type window, select Microsoft Access and click “OK”. Next, the Database Properties window opens, click the Lookup button (The Magnify Glass). Next the New MS Access Database window will open, browse to C:/OCS Documents/OST to store your database at and give it a name (your first name is always good) under File Name. Click Save to close the New MS Access Database window. Click OK to close the Database Properties window. Close OST. Once back at the details page of a project you wish to view documents for, click get project docs OST.
